Our beautiful 5-metre bell tents give you the best of both worlds — the freedom and adventure of camping, with a comfortable bed and a few home comforts already waiting for you.
Set in the peaceful Kent countryside, surrounded by fields, trees and beautiful views across the valley, Glassenbury is the perfect place to slow down, spend time outdoors and reconnect with the people you're with.
No screens. No schedules. No crowds. Just fresh air, campfires and time to enjoy the simple things.
We have three individually styled 5-metre bell tents, all tucked into their own peaceful corner of the campsite.
Your tent comes ready for you, so there's no pitching, unpacking or assembling required. Simply arrive, settle in and start enjoying your stay.
Each bell tent has:
A comfortable double bed with fresh bedding for two adults
Space for up to two children
Two roll-out camp mats for children
Outdoor wooden chairs
A fire pit with BBQ grill
Basic cooking equipment
A kettle and small gas burner
Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils
Children stay at no extra charge — just bring their bedding and pillows for the camp beds.
Every tent has its own character
We love giving our bell tents a little personality. Each one is decorated using a collection of vintage, recycled and found treasures, so no two are quite the same.
Think cosy, colourful and wonderfully unfussy — a proper escape from everyday life.
Wake up somewhere beautiful
One of the best things about staying at Glassenbury is simply being here.
Our bell tents sit within a peaceful corner of the campsite, with lovely views across the valley and plenty of open space around you.
Wake up to birdsong, make a coffee outside your tent and take your time over breakfast.
Then spend the day exploring the Kent countryside, visiting local pubs and farm shops, walking through ancient woodland or simply staying put and enjoying the campsite.
And when evening comes?
Light the fire, cook dinner outdoors and watch the stars come out.
That's what Glassenbury is all about.

Glassenbury is an eco-friendly, off-grid campsite, so this isn't glamping with all the gadgets and luxuries of a hotel.
There are no phone charging points, no televisions and no unnecessary distractions.
Instead, you'll find clean, thoughtfully designed eco facilities and everything you need to enjoy a few days outdoors.
For our bell tent guests, there are two compost toilets and two showers shared exclusively between the three bell tents — including a gas shower and a bucket shower for those who fancy being a little more adventurous.
Eco-friendly soaps and shampoos are provided too.
And yes... there are campfires 🔥
Every bell tent has its own fire pit with a BBQ grill, giving you the perfect excuse to spend your evenings outside.
Bring some food, buy some local produce, pour yourself a drink and cook dinner over the fire.
There really is something special about eating outdoors when the sun goes down.
Sustainably sourced firewood is available to buy from us during your stay.

Our bell tents are furnished for two adults but have plenty of room for two children too.
And there's no extra charge for your children.
It's a great way to introduce little ones to camping without having to buy and pack a mountain of equipment — they get the excitement of sleeping under canvas, cooking outside and sitting around a campfire, while you get a proper bed at the end of the day!
Explore Kent from your doorstep
When you're ready to leave the campsite, there's plenty to discover nearby.
We're surrounded by beautiful countryside and are close to some of Kent's best walking and cycling routes. Bedgebury Forest, Bewl Water and Sissinghurst Castle are all within easy reach, while local villages offer pubs, cafés and farm shops.
You could spend your days exploring — or simply stay at Glassenbury and enjoy doing very little.
Both are perfectly acceptable here.
Want the whole place to yourselves?
If you're coming with friends or family, you can hire all three bell tents and have exclusive use of the bell tent area and its facilities.
It's a lovely option for a small group looking for a relaxed countryside getaway together.

We want you to know exactly what to expect, because Glassenbury is deliberately a little different.
Minimum stay: 2 nights
Price: From £80 per night
Arrival: 3pm–7pm (unless agreed otherwise)
Departure: By 11am (unless agreed otherwise)
Glassenbury is an off-grid eco campsite, so we have compost toilets rather than flushing toilets and there are no phone charging points onsite.
Towels aren't provided, so please bring your own.
Well-behaved dogs can stay in the bell tents too, but please contact us before booking so we can confirm availability.
