FAQ's

What should i bring with me for my stay?

We've made a list of things that we recommend that you bring with you on our facilities page.

Do you accept large groups?

We accept respectful groups only. Please contact us on glassenburycamping@gmail.com for any group bookings of 6 people or more. We are a peaceful family friendly site with no loud noise and music past 9.30pm, not a late night party site.

Do you allow campfires?

Yes we do, and we provide fire pits free of charge as all fires must be contained in a fire pit to avoid damage to the land.

You can buy a bag of logs from us which are locally sourced.

We ask all campers not to collect any firewood and only to use wood supplied by us, or that you have brought from home. Fallen branches and decaying trees help to maintain a healthy ecosystem.

Do you allow dogs?

We are dog friendly! All we ask is that you please keep your dog on a lead at all times and pick up and dispose of any waste.

Do you allow motorhomes and caravans?

We cannot accept motorhomes or caravans, we also have no electric hookups or waste disposal for motorhomes. We can accept small campervan's i.e. VW or Mazda Bongo however you must contact us to check availability first as we have very limited spaces for these.

Do you have fridges and freezers onsite?

Until the time when we can generate enough of our own electricity on-site, we unfortunately do not have fridges or freezers onsite.

Do you have laundry facilities?

We are an eco campsite so we ask that people use the hand washing facilities located in the toilet an shower block. If you would like to use a washing machine there please ask in one of the local towns.

Do you have electric hook-up?

Until the time when we can generate enough of our own electricity on-site, we remain without electric hook-up.

I am arriving by bus, how do i get to your campsite?

The nearest bus stop is located on Hartley Road but you would then need to walk to the campsite from there.

I'm walking or cycling to Glassenbury camping and i am running late, what should i do?

We understand how difficult it is to keep to a strict schedule when you're walking or cycling, so we try to be as flexible as possible. If you have a mobile and you're able to give us a ring or email to say you'll be late, that would be great. If you have any problems and you need some assistance let us know and we'll do our best to help.
